As we were underwhelmed with Tulum, we had no choice but to head to Coba 40 miles inland. Coba was a triple treat of sauna, broiler and a fryer; I remember it fondly as the best bits of our trip. The masonry and structures set admist jungle paths, I was visually happy here.

The site is immense and so you can traverse these ancient limestone roads(sacbes) by rented bicycle. My Azul Bulldog was a smoother ride than the Bun Buster MX they gave us at the Que Onda.
